Valentine’s Day
If your child is bringing valentine cards to school please do so between now and February 7. During the week of Feb 10-13, we will use them to support fun and learning in the classroom in the following ways: at the scissor practice table, the art table, the dramatic play center, at the cognitive table for sorting, matching, classifying and counting. Rather than sending cards home on Valentine’s Day, hands-on activities will allow the children to truly enjoy the fun characters on the cards all week! Class lists with children’s names will not be distributed.PLEASE DO NOT SEND FOOD (SUCKERS, TREATS) OR SMALL CHOKING-SIZE ITEMS TO SCHOOL AS GIFTS TO YOUR CHILD’S CLASSMATES.
A letter will be sent home with more information about Hop for Heart, our version of a preschool friendly valentine experience.
Grandparent’s Tea
Your child will soon be bringing home an invitation for Grandparent’s Tea scheduled for April 1/2. We would like to invite grandparents to join us for refreshments in the church gym at nursery school. The children will prepare a small musical presentation and a unique keepsake for this event.
